Lauren joined the EEC coaching team to help students reach their full potential and assist parents throughout that journey. She has over ten years of experience as a Special Education Math Teacher in grades 7-12.
Lauren is incredibly passionate about ensuring that ALL students achieve success. She has experience working with students with autism spectrum, ADHD, dyslexia, executive functioning disorder, anxiety/depression, behavioral and social-emotional challenges, and other mild to moderate disabilities. Lauren’s adaptability and her great connection with students of all levels (emotionally, behaviorally, and intellectually) allow her to build rapport that breeds trust and respect and ultimately lead to vast student learning and growth.
Lauren also has over eight years of experience administering academic IEP testing, writing IEPs, and leading both initial and re-evaluation IEP meetings. As a mother of a child with a disability and on an IEP, Lauren has a unique perspective from being on “both sides” of the IEP table.
In addition to her experience as a teacher, Lauren has privately coached students and adults in limiting beliefs, growth mindset, time management, motivation, organization, goal setting/ planning, work-life and school-life balance, and other areas of personal development.
Lauren received her Bachelor’s degree in Pure and Applied Mathematics from Boston University and her Master’s degree in Advertising at Boston University (program valedictorian). More recently, she was certified as a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) coach, giving her a unique understanding of the importance and plasticity of mindset.
Lauren grew up in Hingham and now lives in Scituate with her husband and three young boys. She enjoys playing sports, listening to music, relaxing poolside with a good book, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
